Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Distinguished Designs Command Center ("Command Center", "the App") collects, uses, and protects information. Command Center is an internal business-management tool, built and maintained by Buoyant Operations, used by Distinguished Designs employees and authorized personnel to manage accounts, estimates, projects, equipment, inventory, and related business records. It is not a consumer-facing product and is not available to the general public.

Information We Collect

Command Center collects and stores:

• Account information for authorized users (name, email, role).
• Business records entered by users: customer accounts and contacts, estimates, projects, equipment, inventory, daily job-site reports, and related documents and photos.
• When a QuickBooks Online company is connected, financial data synced from that company — chart of accounts, classes, and reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) — for the purpose of job costing and financial reporting inside Command Center.

How We Use QuickBooks Data

Data read from QuickBooks is used solely to display financial reports and reconcile job costs inside Command Center. Data written to QuickBooks (expense entries) is created only when a user in Command Center explicitly logs an expense against a project. Command Center does not use QuickBooks data for any purpose other than the job-costing and reporting features described in the app.

Data Storage & Security

Data is stored in a dedicated Supabase (PostgreSQL) database, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. QuickBooks OAuth tokens are held server-side only, in Edge Function secrets never exposed to the browser, and are used exclusively to make authenticated calls to the QuickBooks API on the connected company's behalf.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share this data with third parties, except as required to operate the App itself (Supabase as the database/hosting provider, and Intuit/QuickBooks when a QuickBooks company is connected).

Your Data

A connected QuickBooks company can be disconnected at any time from within Command Center, which revokes access and stops all syncing. Contact us using the information below to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.
